Swords and Soldiers 2 initially released as an exclusive title for the Nintendo WiiU. It was later updated and released as Swords and Soldiers 2 Shawarmageddon on various other platforms.
Swords and Soldiers 2 is an action-packed side-scrolling real-time strategy game in which you fight to control the map and push the enemy back to their base in a highly tactical tug of war.
Battle in online and split-screen multiplayer, duel the devious AI in skirmishes, or enjoy the extensive single-player campaign.
After an extended internship at Ronimo Games I briefly left in order to graduate from the NHTV IGAD. Shortly after that I was hired as a game designer for the development of Swords and Soldiers 2.
At Ronimo Games the designers have a very pro-active and productive role. The developers focus on maintaining and expanding the Ronitech engine and tools in order to give the designers and artists all they need to build the game.
My work on Swords and Soldiers 2 is spread out over the entire development of the game and included:
Writing game design documentation.
Creating wireframes and flowcharts.
Writing story and dialog (and voice-acting one of the characters!)
Designing, Building and Prototyping factions, units, skills, spells, skill-trees etc.
Designing and building a campaign with 20+ story-driven levels.
Playtesting, tweaking and balancing all the game variables and the overall single player campaign as well as the competitive multiplayer mode.
